For Project Week, I joined the class "Connect Contact" led by Professor Lars Breuer, Jochen Zäh, and Alexander Rechberg. To begin, we went on an excursion to the Phoenix Contact company site in Blomberg, Germany. This company is the world market leader in plug connections. Our task was to develop a concept to make the lobby entrance more interesting and representative of the company.
First, I rebuilt the entire room in Blender using photos I took on-site as a reference.
My concept is divided into "Contact Garden" and "Contact City".
For the garden, I examined the products of the company and designed furniture using their forms and colors. The objects have room for plants that can be planted inside them. They are made of wood and are covered in the organic material "Mouse Hellgrian" from the company "Organoid."
The city is a virtual world that exists within the garden, and can be accessed using augmented reality. By scanning a code, visitors' surroundings are transformed into a futuristic city landscape filled with interactive games and quizzes. This experience provides visitors the opportunity to learn about the company.
